Harold E. Sanders

Harold E. Sanders 74 of Columbus, Ohio former resident of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Gordo, Alabama to the late Samuel W. and Erma G. (Porter) Sanders.

He worked on surface wiring in the cable shop for Lucent Technologies with 32 years of service. After retiring from Lucent Technologies he worked for Alexandria Colony Apartments as a maintenance person. Harold was an Indian arrowhead collector and an avid woodworker.

Harold is survived by his wife, Betty Sanders; daughter, Hollie Sanders of Baltimore; granddaughter, Rebecca Sanders; step-son, Tony (Carrie) Worthington of Galloway; brothers, Larry (Liz) Sanders of Millersport and Roger (Pam) Sanders of Thurston, sister, Debbie Wright of Millersport, the mother of his children, Martha Sanders and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice (Liston) Sanders, son, Doug Sanders, parents, brother, Rick Sanders and brother-in-law, Sandy Wright.

Funeral service will held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Tom Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery with the Baltimore VFW Post #3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery.  Friends may visit 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
