Winifred Vance

Winifred M. Vance 74 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on July 6, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Walter E. and Mary Taylor Gray.

She was a retired nursing assistant at Rockmill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She loved to bake as was known as the “pumpkin lady”, the Cincinnati Reds Baseball team, playing the lottery and drinking her Coke-A-Cola.

Winifred is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gary W. Vance, Sr.; children, Cindy (John) Reef, Jr. of Lancaster, Ohio, Gary (Penny) Vance, Jr. of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Jeff (Maria) Vance of Lansing, Michigan, Dennis (Tracie Lutz) Vance of North Carolina and Mark Vance of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy Jo (T.J.) DeVault, Katelyn Reef, Gary Vance, III, David (Ashley) Vance, Ridge (Kristen Harmon) Vance, Aaron Vance, James Vance, Cara (Casey Clifton) Vance and Megan (Brian) Correllus; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Bryanne, Emma, Colten, Kaiden, Urijah, Zoey, Brady, Michaela, Madison, Xavier, Kiera, Gracyn and Harper; brother, John (Billie) Gray of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Mary Quinn of Columbus, Ohio and Judy Moore of Logan, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Mareda Gray and Beverly; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty Furbee, brothers, Walter Gray, David Gray and Tom Gray.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST. BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Bill Lavely officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
