William Russell “Rusty” Tucker from Lancaster, OH died tragically at age 48, selflessly saving the lives of many. It was who he was to put others first. Tucker is survived by his loving mother, Donita Sue Murphy; wise father, Jerry Lee Tucker Sr.; kind hearted step-mother, Gale Ann Tucker; loyal brothers, Jerry Lee Tucker Jr. and John “Willie” Garrison; step-brothers, Douglas, Jeffrey, and Charles Hartberger; and many caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irene Della Tucker, William Willon Tucker, Elsie Mae Crawford, and Marvin Russell Crawford; his step-father, Keith Allen Murphy; and his very best friends, Jamie Kemmerer, Joshua Stalter, and Aaron Crowell.
Rusty lived his life for the happiness of others, particularly his nieces and nephews, Brandalin, Hayley, Kiana, Brooklyn, Noah, Ford, Hudson, and Makayla. Everyone in this community knew him as “Uncle Rusty” for his prominent role in bettering their lives. The love and joy he spewed was contagious. His cheeky shenanigans and fun made everyone smile.
“A jack of all trades is master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
Rusty defied this old saying. He was a jack of all trades and master of one. His life was dedicated to his work, operating heavy equipment, specifically his beloved concrete pump truck that was with him until the very end. He spent early mornings at job sites watching the sun rise and late nights at the shop, cleaning his truck pristinely, preparing for another long day. In his free time, he pursued many hobbies and interests. He was so intelligent, skilled, and intentional in the way he lived.
Rusty was the physical manifestation of unconditional love. He was pure, kind, content, and selfless- the type of person everyone should aspire to be. He impacted on the world in more ways than he ever knew. He is so loved and will be so missed by so many.
