William K. "Bill" Shafley

William K. Shafley II passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021 with his family by his side at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Bill was born July 29, 1949 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to William K. and Geraldine R. (Cline) Shafley, who predeceased him.

Bill worked for Columbia Gas for over 30 years. He was a huge Jeff Gordon fan and, being from PA, he watched the Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Bill was also a Vietnam veteran. Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Rowles, children and grandchildren son William K. (Meredith) Shafley III and their daughter Addison all of Chesapeake, Virginia, son Matthew J. (Cynthia) Shafley and their children Maddie and Jacob all of Mansfield, Ohio, daughter Michelle Smith and her sons Dylan (Daisy) Smith of Fort Benning, Georgia, Isaac and Trent Smith of Rushville, Ohio, sister and brother-in-law Carole and Jim Risbeck and their sons Matthew and Michael.

Per Bill’s wishes a celebrations of his life will be held at a later date.
