William L. Van Almsick, age 61 of Baltimore formerly of Gahanna passed away on June 19, 2021. He was born in Blacklick, OH on September 13th, 1959 to the late Frederick and Ethel Fleck Van Almsick Jr. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer for the US Army where he was a Blackhawk instructor. He was the Ohio Vice President of the Screaming Eagle 101st Airborne Division Association. He currently worked as a field manager for Honeywell. Bill enjoyed fishing, especially with his granddaughter. He loved spending time with his family and his personality and love for life will be missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Van Almsick; children, Megan Van Almsick and Adam Van Almsick; granddaughter, Marissa Gorsuch; siblings, Gary (Joanne) Van Almsick, Terry (Jacquee) Van Almsick, and Jodi Van Almsick; several nieces and nephews; and mother-in law and father-in-law, Kenny (Bonnie) Kistler.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Kathy Jenkins.
A funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:30AM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, Oh 43105. Caring Cremation will follow the service.
