William Mahon

William “Bill” E. Mahon, 49, of Lancaster, returned to his Lord, peacefully at the Pickering House on Thurs., Oct. 15, 2015. He was born April 25, 1966 in Danbury, CT.

He waged a valiant battle throughout his long illness that was an inspiration to us all. Above all, he was a dedicated, loyal and loving son and brother.

Bill is survived by his mother, Mary Jo; five siblings, James (Charla) of Georgia, Peter (Cynthia) of Florida, Patricia of Lancaster, Thomas (Amy) of Lancaster, and Brian (Doreen) of Florida; seven nephews and nieces, Stephen, Peter Michael, Sarah, Abigail, Jimmy Joe, Grace and Sean; uncle, Terence; aunts Natalie, Angie, Medi, of Danbury, CT; uncle Steve and aunt Ele of FL; and many other family members and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, James Mahon.

A Mass will take place at 10:30 A.M. Friday Oct 23rd, 2015 at St. Bernadette Church located at 1343 Wheeling Rd. NE in Lancaster, with Father Thomas Kessler officiating. Burial will follow mass at the Saint Mary Cemetery in Lancaster. Family and Friends may visit from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday Oct 22nd at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home located at 405 N.
