William "Bill" Carpenter

William H. Carpenter, 75, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born on September 13, 1948, to the late William V. and Mary (Widener) Carpenter.

William was a 1967 graduate of Lancaster High School. He went on to continue his education at Ohio University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering in 1971. William loved motorcycles, whether that was riding them or working on them. 

William is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Laura Carpenter, William Carpenter, Kevin R. Carpenter, and Michelle (Nicholas) Turon. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as aunts and uncles. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 12:30 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
