Willard Leon Taylor 81 of Baltimore, OH died Friday, February 7, 2014 at his residence. He was a US Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and a retired mechanic from Center City International.
Leon was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Baltimore Masonic Lodge 475 F & AM, Aladdin Shrine, Scottish Rite, and Provost Unit of Aladdin Shrine.
Leon is survived by his son, Stanley (Donna) Taylor of Canal Winchester, OH; three grandchildren, Heather Doomy, Christopher (Ariel) Doomy and Steven Taylor; two step-grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) McLaughlin and Ashley (Luke) Rahrig; step-great grandchild, Noah McLaughlin; sisters, Mary Ann (Flaveon Dan) Augg of Lancaster, OH, Virginia Paskins of Lancaster, OH and Linda Dotson of Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Darlene Taylor, daughter, Carmen Doomy, son-in-law, Darrell A. Doomy, parents, Lloyd and Blanche Taylor, brother, Eddie Taylor, and brother-in-law, Gene Wealand.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Caring Cremation® has taken place by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 207 S. MAIN ST. BALTIMORE, OH 43105. The Baltimore Masonic Lodge 475 F & AM will have a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service. A private burial will be held in Basil Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, OH at a later date.
