Wilda June Moore Heft 75 of Lancaster, Ohio died Friday, October 25, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on May 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Virgil S. and Dorothy R. Lenz Moore.
Wilda is survived by her husband of 55 years, James R. Jim Heft; two daughters, and sons-in-law, Debbie (Jim) Henderly and Jana (Joe) DiDomenico; four grandchildren who she loved and was so proud of; Amy and Adam Henderly and Jarod and Jansen DiDomenico all of Lancaster, Ohio; two brothers, Dean (Cheryl) Moore of Lancaster, Ohio and Larry (Charlyn) Moore of Folsom, CA; sister, Linda (Chuck) Mettler; sister-in-law, Donna (Jerry) Cook all of Lancaster, Ohio; two nieces and seven nephews, numerous cousins, friends and her church family.
She worked in Dr. Nusbaums office after staying home to raise her two daughters. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and served in many ministries including playing the organ in the Childrens Little Chapel for years. She was known by many for her cards, notes and wonderful pies.
A special thanks for the loving care by the Fairfield Medical Center ICU Staff, Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Scoggin, Dr. Tenza, Dr. Bruce, but especially to Jen, Jennifer Riley and Bethany.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Emil H. Klatt, III officiating. Burial to follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Logan, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church Save Our Steeple Fund or the Permanent Maintenance Fund 105 E. Mulberry St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130. She will be always in our hearts.
