Baltimore: Wayne L. Welsh, 83, Westerville, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Parkside Village Senior Living Community in Westerville.
Wayne was a 1948 graduate of Chartiers Township High School in PA. In 1950 he married his high school sweetheart Peggy Reynolds. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was stationed at Fort Campbell KY where he served as an X-Ray Technician. He was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church, and he was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Company, Fairfield County Joint Vocational School, and Lancasters Meijer store. His main interests were gardening and his dedication to his family.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy of Westerville; sons, David (Rosa) Welsh of Lancaster, Bradford (Dorothy) Welsh of Kenton OH, Robert (Amanda) Welsh of Westerville; grandchildren, James Welsh, Brooke Incorvia, Braden Welsh, Matthew Welsh, Andrew Welsh ,Shannon Mortland, Shawn Ledson, Jason Stuber, Amanda Shirk; 8 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Thomas (Marie) Welsh of Washington PA, James (Marlene) Welsh of Fargo ND; several nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Edison and Agnes Welsh; sister, Miriam Welsh.
A Celebration of Life will take place Friday, November 30, 2012 at New Zion United Methodist Church, 10991 Snyder Church Rd., Baltimore OH 43105 at 1:30 pm, with Pastor Rick Stuhmer officiating and Pastor Cheryl Foulk assisting. A caring cremation has taken place and burial will follow at Union Evangelical Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of service at the church.
