Wayne Warner

Wayne E. Warner 67 of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at his home.

He was born on August 15, 1949 in Lancaster, Ohio to Howard and Margaret (Deeds) Warner. He was a 1967 graduate of Lancaster High School and a proud US Air Force veteran, having served as a radio operator in Turkey. Wayne worked as the Transportation Coordinator at the Department of Veterans of Muskingum County, Ohio. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed the outdoors and classic Westerns.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Warner of Sugar Grove, Ohio; sister-in-law, Toni Warner of Sugar Grove, Ohio; nephews, Jesse Warner of Sugar Grove, Ohio and Daniel of Tuscaloosa, AL and many close friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Howard Warner, brother, Jerry Warner, infant brother, Richard Warner, grandparents, Dan and Mary Deeds and Hattie Kull and his loving companion, Ruth Ann Hildenbrand.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Mark Raddatz officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting Military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.
