Ward Spradlin 80 of Lancaster, Ohio died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. He was retired from Owens Illinois with 31 years of service.
He is survived by his daughters, Evelyn (Ron) Roby of Mansfield, Ohio, Doris (Wendell) Miller of Ft. Myers, Florida, Barbara Frost of Lancaster, Ohio, Pamela (James “Neil”) Stanley of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Charlotte (Marvin) Sowers of Lancaster, Ohio; son, Ward “Bud” (Bessie) Spradlin of Newark, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Heather, Kristen, Thelma, Michael, Joseph, Mark, Phillip, Angela, Tracy, Laura, and James “Matt”; 19 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Spradlin of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta M. Spradlin, parents, Rowland and Alma Spradlin, son-in-law, David Frost, grandson, Timothy Frost, brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST. LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial to follow in Basil Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
