Ward Payne

Ward “Bub” Payne, age 80 of Lancaster died December 6th, 2020 at Circleville post acute.  He was born to the late Earl and Myrtle Perry Payne in Ross County.  He was a farmhand who loved working the land and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Jeff (Martina Cradlebough) Payne, Stephen (Kendra) Payne, Rebecca Tinnerello, Timothy (Carol) Payne, Gregory Payne, Lisa (William) Fosnaugh,  and Crystal (Maico) Ortiz; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sibling, Wyoma (Charlie Brown) Payne.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Payne.

Social distancing is required and masks must be worn at both the graveside service and the Calling hours.  The graveside service will take place at 11AM on Friday, December 11th, 2020 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Franklin County. Calling hours will take place at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home from 4PM until 7 PM Thursday.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
