Wanda Rowland

Wanda A. Rowland, 82, of Lancaster, died on Monday, January 02, 2012, at Lanfair Center.

Wanda was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Wanda was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Robert R. (Barbara) Rowland, Jr. and daughter, Linda Sue (Bruce) Peck. Also surviving are her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Robert and Jennifer Rowland and their children Tyler and Robbie, Crissy and Ryan Bash and their children Cameron and Cailynn, Richard and Angela Wakefield and their children Macie and Cohen, and Seth and Kelli Wakefield and their daughter Ella; sister, Marie Alice Walter; mother-in-law, Goldie Rowland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Judy Rowland, Pamm and Bill Topper, Pat and Ed Townsend, Doris and Gene Augestine, and Maynard Haas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Rowland, Sr.; mother and father, Marie and Gayle Eskew; siblings, Jean Haas, Howard and Helen Eskew, and Loretta and Ed Lee; aunts, Irene (French) Gorham and Marguerite Gorham; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim Rowland, Bill and Mary Rowland, Betty and Turk Turco, and Harold Rowland.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm Thursday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Lancaster with Pastor Ryan Bash officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wanda’s memory to Lanfair Center, 1590 Chartwell St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
