Walter Arnold

Walter B. Arnold, 92, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He received three bronze service stars for good conduct. Walter was a member of the Thornville Masonic Lodge for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 45 wonderful years, Naomi Ruth Arnold; children, Walter (Sue) Arnold Jr., Michael (Judy) Arnold, Mark (Carol) Arnold, and Tim Arnold; step-children, Charmaine Murphy, Gregory Murphy, Valerie Murphy, and Linda Murphy; and 13 grandchildren.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Bertha Arnold, and 3 siblings.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home located at 405 North Columbus Street in Lancaster. Following the service, burial will take place at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Donations can be made in Walter’s honor to the FairHoPe Hospice located at 282 Sells Road in Lancaster.
