Vivian Swanson

Vivian E. Swanson, age 97, of Baltimore, died Friday, November 19th, 2010 at Manor Care of Westerville. She was born to Phillip and Fladella Hower on June 17, 1913 in Galesburg, IL. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in PA, and was a loving mother to all.
She is survived by her sons; Eugene Swanson, of Costa Mesa, CA, LeRoy (Patricia) Swanson of Curtis Park, PA, and Gary L. (Linda) Swanson of Westerville, OH; daughter Elaine (Gordon) Andersen of Whitehall MI; 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; eight great-great- grandchildren; sister, Eunice Chambers of Aurora, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Swanson; parents, Phillip and Fladella Hower; son, Ronald Swanson, and sisters, Gloria, Bernice, Evelyn, and Muriel.
A service will take place on Monday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Danny Koch. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
