Virginia Smith

Virginia Lee Smith, age 91 of Beech Grove, Indiana (formerly of Pennington Gap, Virginia) passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, in Baltimore, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornell Smith; sisters, Marie Moore and Mary Helen Johnson; brother, Marion Johnson; parents, Golden and Herbert Johnson, all of Jonesville, Virginia; and one grandson, Bobby Smith.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty S. Barker, of Baltimore, Ohio and Patricia Waggoner, of Lebanon, Indiana; one son, Bobby Smith, of Indianapolis, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Lester (Paula) Barker, Sandra (Todd) Bader, Philip (Tina) Barker, Eric (Michelle) Barker, Ginny (Larry) Berkowitz, Roberta, Tony, Matt, Pam, Doug, and Buddy; Twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Grandchildren Lester, Philip, and Eric Barker, and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Zack Logue and Noah and Nicholas Barker.

Visitation was at Maple Grove Cemetery on August 8, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Dennis Barnhart officiating. Music provided by Michelle Barker.

Services were provided by the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore, Ohio.
