Virginia “Ginger” Elizabeth (Savage) Jackson, 82 of Carroll, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 18, 2018. She was born on October 11, 1935 in Sugar Grove, Ohio to the late William and Pauline Savage.
Ginger worked at Irving Drew Shoe Co. and was an Air Force wife, spending several years traveling with her husband, Johnie. Ginger and Johnie enjoyed breeding champion Norwegian Elkhounds for many years. Ginger was a dispatcher for the Greenfield Twp. Fire Department, worked at the Baltimore Library and enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Kari) Jackson of Baltimore and David (Dawn) Jackson of Carroll; grandchildren, Cody Jackson and Jake Jackson both of Carroll and Brandi (TJ) Dozer of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Kaidyn Dozer, Jace Jackson and Waylon Dozer; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Lois Farris.
Ginger was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie, parents, infant daughter, Cindy Lee, infant son, Dale Allan, brother, Jack Savage and Aunt Hazel Stahl.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Carroll Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Alice Wolfe officiating. Friends may visit Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105.
