Violet May (Lyons) Storts

Lancaster - Violet May Storts, 98, passed away in her sleep peacefully at her residence on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Violet was born Monday, February 9, 1925 in Columbus, OH to Joseph and Lyda Lyons. Violet was a great mother, none of her children needed anything in their lives.

She is survived by children Mary Jane Thompson, Kirby (Jayne) Storts, John Storts, Richard (Wendi High) Storts; daughter-in-law Karen Storts; grandchildren Chris (Jenny) Storts, Tina Storts, Jamie Storts, Madison Storts, Nicholas Hutton, Jennifer (Jacob) Freeman and Eric (Lia) Storts; and great grandchildren.

Violet is preceded in death by her husband Kirby C. Storts; son Henry James “Jimmy” Storts; son-in-law Ronnie Thompson; parents; and siblings Shirley Ruff and John Lyons.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. A graveside service will take place Friday, February 17, 2023 in Saint Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S High St. Lockbourne, OH 43137, at 11:00 AM.
