Verne Miller

Verne E. Miller, age 86 of Baltimore, died Nov. 5th, 2015 at Bickford Assisted Living. He was born on Nov. 4th, 1929 to the late Emery and Mary Culp Miller. He was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church. He was a devout employee starting work for South Central Power when he was 17 and retiring as a Vice President of Operations. When Verne wasn’t enjoying classic cars, he was playing tennis, where he and fellow doubles player, Ron Ramey dominated Rising Park’s courts. Verne will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lois Eileen Miller; son, Randy Miller; and grandchildren, Tricia Christine Miller and Andrew James Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dean Miller; 2 sisters, Rosalie Sauerbrei and Patty Lou Ardrey; and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Marie Upton Miller.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10:30AM at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore, officiated by Rev. Branson Hawkes. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
