Timothy Lee Claypool, 67, of Lancaster, passed away suddenly at his home, on November 10, 2018. He was born on August 20, 1951 to Juanita and the late Donald Claypool.
Tim was a man of many accomplishments. He served 6 years in the Air National Guard, was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, a1969 graduate of Lancaster High School, a Hocking Twp. Trustee, Corvette Club member, past board member on the Country Mark Co-Op, and past member of the 4-H Club, Young Farmer Organization, and FFA. Above all, Tim was a lifelong, dedicated and hardworking grain farmer, and dairy farmer until 2000, who loved his work and farmed many acres.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Claypool; mother, Juanita Claypool; brother, David Claypool; nephew Jason (Michelle) Claypool; loving nieces, Ashley and Carley Claypool; mother-in-law, Jane McPherson; sister-in-law, Linda Claypool; close farming friends Emerson Martin, and Bob McClure; close friends, Bev and Willie Azbell, and Tracie (Matt) Cole; fur babies, Dixie Lee and Ellie Mae; and many other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Donald Claypool; brother, Daniel Claypool; and father-in-law, Charles E. McPherson.
A funeral service will take place at Grace United Church of Christ at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2018, officiated by Roger Hale. Burial will follow the service at Green Mound Cemetery. Family and Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH, 43130, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in Tim’s memory to Green Mound Cemetery, or to the Grace United Church of Christ.
