Thomas Wright

Thomas Zane Wright 85 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May, 5, 2016 at Logan Health Care.

He was a retired machinist for Columbia Gas with over 20 years of service, member of F.O.E. Aries 2120 and Lancaster Moose Lodge 955. Thomas had an extensive collection of vintage trucks, cars and motorcycles. He also played the mandolin in the Banditos.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Hester L. Wright; children, Debbie K. Barnett, Freda (Roland “Dude”) Windle, Tony Ray Barnett, Jerry Dale (Teresa) Barnett, Julia K. (Jeffrey) Figgins, Harriet E. (James) Heinlein, Robert A. (Tammy McGrady) Wright, Penny L. (Donald E.) VanAtta, Sandy L. Wright, Michael D. (Lynette) Wright, Ida Ann (Jim) Austin, and Ella VanAtta; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Logan Health Care Center and Hospice of Central Ohio for their love and care of Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Floyd and Roxie Wright, son-in-law, Jim VanAtta and sister, Anetta Faye Wright.

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will be held in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Monday from 11-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
