Thomas “Tom” Willis, 95, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Sharon E. Willis for 42 years. Tom was born to the late Frank and Hazel (Haddox) Willis on September 25, 1929.
He graduated from Walnut Township School in 1947. Tom belonged to the Ohio National Guard for 13 years and the US Army Reserves for 22 years. He also worked in government services for 35 years. Tom loved antiques and he was in the antiquing business with his wife for 30 years. He loved playing cards, sitting around bonfires, and going to volleyball games. Above all, Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was a jack of all trades and master of all. He was the rock of the family and will be greatly missed.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Teresa Willis of Lancaster and Betty Jo (David) Whitaker of Oklahoma; step-daughters, Kim Bobbitt of Lancaster and Lisa Adams of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Beth Bininger of Lancaster; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; close family friend, Kail Secrest of Ohio; sister-in-law, Anna Harber as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel Willis; first wife, Maxine; brother, John Robert “Bob”; sister, June Kimes; step-son, James Davis Jr; sister-in-law, Ruby Ann (Charlie) Metheney; brothers-in-law, Michael Hansley, Bernie Bininger, and Ron Harber; mother and father in law, Ruby and Kenneth Hansley; nephews, Greg Metheney and Kirk Willis and nieces, Joyce Gibson and Robyn Willis.
Per Tom’s wishes, Caring Cremation® has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
