Thomas "Tom" E. Hamilton

Thomas “Tom” E. Hamilton, 78 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at his residence. He was born on March 10, 1946 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Genevieve Hamilton.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Navy and retired from Lancaster Glass Corp. in the maintenance department with 35 years of service.

Tom was a member of First English Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing at Bob Walter’s Farm in Amanda, hunting and gardening. He loved his children and especially his great grandchildren. 

Tom is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice; daughters, Pamela (Jim) Mooty of Winterville, NC, Cynthia (Doug) Travis of Miamisburg and Katherine (Chris) Williard of Ashville; grandchildren, Kali (Rich), Malachi (Tiffany), Linsey (Jaeden), Andrea, Aly and Tanner; brother, Greg Hamilton of Lancaster and a niece and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Larry Hamilton.

Funeral service will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E.SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Michael O’Bryant officiating. Burial will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
