Thomas Sauerbrei

Thomas M. Sauerbrei 72 of Urbana, Ohio former resident of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 7, 1942 in Lancaster, Ohio, a son of Elmer and Hazel (Foor) Sauerbrei.
He attended Amanda Clearcreek High School and retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. with 32 years of service. He was a member of Fairfield Christian Church and AFGWU.
Thomas is survived by his sister, Candy Sauerbrei of Washington Court House, Ohio, brother-in-law, Dr. Don (Kristen) Sanders of Urbana, Ohio along with a niece, Michelle Sanders, nephews, David (Mindy) Sanders and Allen (Christie) Sanders and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Barbara Sauerbrei and Dr. Judith Sanders and brother, William Sauerbrei.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Burial will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
