Thomas Jenkinson

Thomas M. Jenkinson, age 85, of Lancaster, died April 3rd, 2015 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Lancaster, on Sept. 13, 1929, to the late, Dr. and Mrs. Arnold (Mary Markwood) Jenkinson. He graduated from Lancaster High School, in the class of 1947. He then graduated from Ohio State University, and joined the United States Marine Corp, serving in Korea with the 1st Marine Division.
Thomas retired in 1994, as Senior Vice President with Advest. He was a long time member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. He was a former president of Kiwanis Club, and former member of the Ohio State Alumni Association. He was a member of the American Legion Post #11 and Olivedale.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Thelma Jenkinson of Lancaster; son, Dr. Scott (Judy) Jenkison of Athens; daughter, Laura (Al) Carpenter of Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren, John and Mary Jenkinson, and Patrick and Steven Carpenter; sister, Suzanne (Ken) Culver; six nephews; and one niece.
Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. At the convenience of the family, a burial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Forest Rose Cemetery.
