Thomas G. Engle 63 of Lancaster, Ohio died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his residence.
He was a graduate of Fairfield Union High School Class of 1967 and Austin Peay College in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was former owner of Rushcreek Golf Course and was a maintenance supervisor for Alter-Care of Canal Winchester. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 2120, an avid golfer, sports fan and grandfather.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Hazel Engle of Lancaster, Ohio; son, Thomas G. (Kathleen) Engle II of Farmington, Connecticut; daughter, Molly Engle Avina of Clintonville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Blaise, Tabor, Harrison, Nolan and Maren; brothers, Jim (Deb) Engle of Pleasantville, Ohio and Larry (Wanda Francis) Engle of Hebron, Ohio; sister, Diana (Dale) Estep of Pleasantville, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and canine companion, Dreyfus. HE was preceded in death by his father, George “Ted” Engle and niece, Shellee Johnson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Mel Truex officiating. Caring Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
