Thelma M. Mauger 89 of Carroll, Ohio former resident of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Springs of Carroll.
She was a member of Trinity Untied Church of Christ, Baltimore VFW Post 3761 Ladies Auxiliary, National Farmers Association, Fairfield Grange and a former member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ and organist of the church for many years along with the Liberty Union Booster Bowling League.
She is survived by her son, Wayne E. (Lorri) Mauger; daughter, Barbara (Barry) Waites all of Baltimore, OH; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Julie) Waites of Pickerington, OH, Daniel (Maggie) Waites of Carroll, OH, Matthew (Sarah) Waites of Lancaster, OH, Derrick (Ashley) Mauger of New Franklin, OH, Julie Mauger of Baltimore, OH, and Nicole (Randy) Coffman of Pickerington, OH; two step-grandchildren, Jesse Whitehead of Columbus, OH and Jeremy Whitehead of Baltimore, OH; 12 great grandchildren, Samuel, Owen, Ryan, Levi, Nya, Cameron, and Cooper Waites, Jayce and Brycen Mauger, Ethan Ferrell, Callie and Lainey Coffman; sisters, Dorothy Davis of Baltimore, OH, Evelyn Worrell of Millersport, OH, Glenna Young of Carroll, OH, Donna (Dennis) Keller of Baltimore, OH, Karen Boyer of Carroll, OH, and Lois Valdez of Westerville, OH; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Virginia Watters and Terrie (Jess) Hockenberry all of Baltimore, OH and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Mauger in 2011, parents, Walter and Hazel Myers, grandson, Joshua Waites, four sisters, Mildred Moore, Sarah Schiedegger, Carol McKibben, and Lillian Sites.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial to follow in Violet Cemetery, Pickerington, OH. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
