Thelma B. Jenkinson, age 83, of Lancaster, passed away August 19th, 2015 at the Laurels of Athens. She was born in Athens on Sept. 12th, 1931 to the late Edward W. and Frances White Bailey. Thelma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of Olive Dale. She was a bookkeeper for Anchor Hocking and also Clark Ins. Thelma will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Scott (Judy) Jenkinson of Athens; daughter, Laura (Al) Carpenter of Spanish Fort, AL; three grandsons, John W. Jenkinson, Patrick T.(Amelia) and Steven P. Carpenter; one granddaughter, Maggie Jenkinson; and one great grandson, Joseph Carpenter.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Thomas M. Jenkinson; and sister, Helen Glaze.
Caring Cremation has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. Burial will take place at Forest Rose Cemetery, at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
