Tammy McDaniel Nester

Tammy Lyn McDaniel Nester 46 of Groveport, Ohio formerly of Lancaster, Ohio, on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. passed away suddenly from a brief illness at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

Tammy is survived by her two wonderful children, Kyle A. Nester and Madison A. Nester, who she loved dearly; mother, Sandra L. McDaniel Butzer and step-father Dan Butzer; loving aunt and uncle, Mike and Linda Bussey and her special cousin, Jeff (Jennifer) Bussey; step-sister, Lisa (Tom) Patterson of Delroy, Ohio and step-brother, Aaron Butzer of Wadsworth, Ohio and several more aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her father, Donald L. McDaniel and ex-husband, Roy H. Nester.

Tammy spent many years as a Practice Manager, Certified Medical Assistant and a Professional Coder for several physicians in the Columbus, Ohio area. She was also very active in her children’s school activities and especially sports.

Caring Cremation® will take place by the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Lancaster, Ohio. A private celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at a later date with family and friends.

Memorial Gifts may be made to the Groveport Athletic Boosters, 4475 South Hamilton Rd., Groveport, OH 43125 in honor of Tammy and her children.
