Steve Greiner

Steve Greiner 72 of Canal Winchester, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was born to the late Harold “Nip” and Vivian Greiner in Lancaster, Ohio.

Steve’s working career led him to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy, and then onto sales.  He worked for Mid-State Power Equipment, Taylor Chevrolet, Byers Chevrolet, and International Used Trucks.

Steve was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, where he served in various areas of the church, Lancaster Old Car Club, and enjoyed time with his family. He enjoyed going to the sporting events of his grandchildren and loved camping and mules.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol; children, Nick (Angie) Greiner of Amanda, Ohio, Heather (Brian) Rice of Ashville, Ohio, Gary (Janna) Gugliemotto of Carroll, Ohio, Gianna (Terry) Thompson of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Samuel (Barb) Zangmeister of Carroll, Ohio, Joshua (Lynn) Zangmeister of Dublin, Ohio and Rebecca Zangmeister of Canal Winchester, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, Aiden, Gabriella, Sofia, Samuel, Nathan, Tyler, Ryan, Ellis, Everett, Kalan, Addyson, Levi, Trinity, and Mikayla; two great grandchildren; sister, Linda (Tom) Simmons of Lancaster, Ohio, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Vickie Miller of Canal Winchester, Ohio; 3 nephews and lifetime friends, Larry and Kay Marr.

A private graveside service will be held in Union Grove Cemetery, Canal Winchester at the convenience of the family.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Fairfield Christian Church in the Small Chapel with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating.  Friends may visit 11/2 hours prior to the service and are asked to enter through door H on the Whittier side of the building.
