Shirley Rhonemus

Shirley J. Rhonemus 82 of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2018 at the Pickering House surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on December 10, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Donald and Donna Truitt. She loved being a mother and grandmother, traveling and playing golf. She was a member of Faith Memorial Church.

Shirley is survived by son, Bill (Susie) Rhonemus; daughter, Becky (Bob) George all of Lancaster, Ohio and son, Barry (Jennifer) Rhonemus of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Wendy (Wes) Pennington, Billy (Amy) Rhonemus and Craig (Cristy) George; 6 great grandchildren; BFF Jeanie Hughes and Holly Allen and her constant companion her little dog “Sammi”.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald Rhonemus, brother, William Truitt, sisters-in-law, Juanita and Madonna and brothers-in-law, Buryl, Fred and Earl Kilbarger.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Jonathon Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Saturday, from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
