Sherry Hubbard

Sherry Wharton Hubbard age 61, passed away February 14, 2013 peacefully at her residence with her family at her side following an extended illness. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Newton and his staff at the O.S.U. James Hospital.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father Ted Wharton and is survived by her mother Jackie Wharton, brother Craig (Sally) Wharton, husband Jeff Hubbard and daughters Thea (Dan) Ramey, Claire Hubbard and Sydney Hubbard. Sherry has three grandchildren, Ashton, Shawn, and Jalyn.
Sherry graduated from Lancaster High School and was a proud member of the Band of Gold. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy. She worked at Starlight (E.S. Weyant) School in Newark and Forest Rose School in Lancaster as a Speech Therapist.
Funeral service for Sherry will be held 10:30 am Monday in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster OH 43130. Pastor Robert Mc Dowell will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1 until 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Sherry can be made to the “Sherry Hubbard Technology Fund” for adaptive communication devices for the kids at Forest Rose School. Contributions can be sent to the Fairfield County Foundation, 162 E. Main St., PO Box 159, Lancaster OH 43130
