Sherman Grant Hud Hudnell 72 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away, Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Pickering House.
He was born on August 7, 1940 in Athens County, Ohio to the late Hollie and Bernice Hudnell.
He was a retired machinist from Diamond Power and Specialty Co. with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Trimble Masonic Lodge #577 F. A. & M.
Sherman is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Hudnell; son, Eric (Kristie) Hudnell of Olympia, Washington; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Leah, Krystle, Hanna, Kassi, Cory and Natasha; four great grandchildren; brother, Rudolph (Angela) Hudnell of Marion, Ohio; sister, Edna (Larry) Bailey of Galion, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Christine Cordle of Lancaster, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Grant Hudnell, daughter, Terra Lynn Hudnell, parents, brothers, Garrett, Holly, Jack, and Victor Hudnell and sisters, Della Hudnell and Rose Bell.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Mark Barbee of Fairfield Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
