Sharon K. Freeland

Sharon K. Freeland, age 76 of Pleasantville, died Sept. 25, 2022 at her residence.  She was born to the late Ernest and Ida Pumphrey Snider, on Nov. 1, 1945 in Pleasantville.  She was an annual organizer of the Pleasantville Easter Egg Hunt, where she always made a basket for each child attending.  Sharon enjoyed yard work and tending to her flowers.  Her amazing personality and love for life will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her children, C. Christine Watts Lutz; Jay (Suanne) Watts; Tony (Keyshia) Watts, and Brian (Cheryl O’Neal) Watts; grandchildren, David Lutz, Heather Lutz, Jennifer (James) Stevens, Jordan (Rose Williams) Lutz, Chase (Lexi Elick) Watts, Tyler Watts, Tyea (Brad Daft) Gilkey, Haylee Sturgell, and Brian (Jamella) Watts; and several great grandchildren; siblings, Janet Weaver and Larry Snider.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Thomas Watts; 2nd husband, John Freeland; and several brothers and sisters.

Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster.  Memorial calling will take place on Tuesday Oct 4th from 4PM until 7PM at the funeral home.  Donations can be made in Sharon’s name to Fairhope Hospice 282 Sells Rd.
