Sandra Gay (Wilson) Grandstaff

Sandra Gay Grandstaff 78 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 7, 2022 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her loving family.

She worked for the American Red Cross and while stationed in Vietnam she met her husband Tom.

Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church and American Legion Post #11 Auxiliary.  She loved to read, quilt, sing in the church choir, and taking trips to Amish Country and spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Sandra loved her canine companion, Bella.

She was a retired special education teacher for Fairfield MRDD with 30 years of service.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Kimberley (Jay) Nauman of Lancaster, Ohio and Brittany (Andy) Fox of Seminole, Florida; son, Robert L. (Keri) Grandstaff  of Lancaster, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Kameron (Brandon) Angle, Adrienne Grandstaff, Justin (fiance' Rachel Wright) Nauman, Tyler Grandstaff, Jacob Nauman, William Grandstaff, Jack Nauman, and Anthony Fox; sister Karen (Nathan) McCaleb of Lake Ozark, Missouri; brother Dale (Shaeliya) Wilson of Bucyrus, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. Grandstaff of 43 years, parents Harley and Mary Wilson and sister-in-law Sandra Kay Wilson.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Dr. Art Fulks officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.  Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
