Samuel L. Aisel

Samuel L. Aisel 64 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away January 8, 2021 at Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was a sky wheel operator for various fairs prior to becoming a truck driver and later retiring from Mercer Trucking Company. He was a carpenter, enjoyed gardening, various family oriented activities and loved his family.

Samuel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helen Aisel; daughters, Michelle Amato of North Carolina, Edie (Matthew) Morbitzer of Rushville, Ohio and Samantha Aisel of Lancaster, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Maria, Joshua, Aubrey, Riley, Jackson, Cailyn, Cylus and Nila; one great grandson, Graylon; sister, Mary Mae Carpenter of North Bloomfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alvaretta Aisel and niece, Joyce Evans.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.  Caring Cremation® will follow.  Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In accordance with state mandates, COVID protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed.
