Sally Ann (Lerch) Ankrom

Sally Ann Ankrom 87 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August18, 2021 at Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 18, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Ethel (Cunningham) Lerch in Columbus, Ohio.

She was a retired secretary for the Lancaster High School.  Sally was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, loved to bowl, dedicated to her work and to her sons, along with strong dedication to following her grandson’s sporting activities.  She loved to watch Notre Dame Sports.

Sally is survived by her sons, Jeff (Sue) Ankrom of Westerville, Ohio, Robert (Susan) Ankrom of Lancaster, Ohio and Jon (Lisa) Ankrom of Worthington, Ohio; grandchildren, Maggie (Justin) Kitts, Peter (Emily) Ankrom, Ryan Ankrom, Bethany Ankrom, Tiffany (Brian) Sunderland, Elizabeth Ankrom, and Samuel (Rosie) Ankrom; great grandchildren, Ellie, Abel, Marley, and Ebree; sister, Linda (Carl) Capron of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.

Caring Cremation® has taken place.  A graveside service will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Lithopolis Cemetery with Rev. Brian Dillahunt officiating. Friends may visit Monday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
