Ruth Lovejoy

Ruth Lovejoy, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on June 6, 2018. She was born in Kistler, WV to the late Orville and Elma Burton on September 13, 1933.

Ruth had many passions in life; two being the beach, and her flower beds which would always contain many beautiful roses. Her family was her life, and she cared for them deeply. She and her husband, Ralph, were also decade’s long members of the First Baptist Church in Lancaster.

She is survived by her sons, Keith (Jody) Lovejoy, and Larry E. Lovejoy; daughter, Betty (Russell) Dennison; grandchildren, Jason Lovejoy, Matthew (Kristi) Crosier, Jeremy (Wendy) Dennison, Brandon (Angela) Dennison, Tiffany (Jason) Davis, Kristin (Richard) Caile, Alicia Lovejoy, and Bradley (Sabrina) Anderson; 11 great grandchildren; brothers Tommy (Verna) Burton, and Bill (Clara) Burton; and sisters, Gail Ellis, Phyllis Beaver, and Debby (Rick) Pharis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ralph Lovejoy; parents; and many brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the First Baptist Church at 11 AM, 1950 Pleasantville Rd, Lancaster, OH 43130, with Pastor Scott Gatian officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 1-4 P.M. on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OH, 43130.
