Ruth Annabell Hemsworth

Ruth Annabell Hemsworth, 84, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at Crestview Skilled Nursing Home in Lancaster. Born November 24, 1930, at Diamond, Ohio, the daughter of Maxine and Gerald Jeffrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Hemsworth, and sister, Evelyn Franko.

She is survived by three brothers, Carl Jeffrey and Bill (Jan) Jeffrey of Lancaster, Ohio, and Gary (Maria) Jeffrey of Grosse Ile, Michigan; two nieces; three nephews; step-sons, Doug Thatcher and Chuck Thatcher; and three grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, worked at Ridge Tool in Elyria, and DSC in Columbus through the years. Throughout her life, faith has always been important to Annabell. For many years, Annabell and her sister shared God’s word through their evangelistic singing and Annabell was always devoted to the various churches where she attended.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster, Ohio. Interment will be at Smith Chapel Cemetery in Logan, Ohio. Friends may call at 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
