RUTH L. DODD
Lancaster: Ruth L. Dodd, 85 of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. Ruth was born April 25, 1927 in Mannington WV to the late Claude and Mabel Ashenhart Toothman.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lowell Dodd of Lancaster; son Scott (Rhonda) Dodd of Lancaster; daughter, Carolyn (Barry) Thompson of Lancaster; grandchildren, Angi Dodd, Stacie Kacy) Kern, Joni Dodd, Jennifer (Dan) Kuhlwein, Diane (Daniel) Myers, Gary Morrison; great grandchildren, Ethan, Calleigh, Ashleigh, Lila, Lance, Olivia; sisters, Betty Riley, Irene Deakins, Helen Harris. In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Nellie Furbee.
Funeral service for Ruth will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER OH 43130 with Pastor Mel Truex Officiating. Burial will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in Ruth’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
