Russ Miller, age 57, of Lancaster, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family early Monday morning October 8th, 2012. He was born in Bainbridge, Maryland, to his parents, Art and Shirley Miller, on April 7th, 1955. He was a salesman for 19 yrs at the Lang Stone Co. of Columbus and worked at Menards in Lancaster for four years. He loved to listen to Country and Patriotic Music. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a longtime resident of the Lancaster Campgrounds, running the sound system for church services and always volunteering and helping whenever he could. He was in the quartet The Son Catchers. He served his country for 8 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was amazing when it came to crossword puzzles, and loved his family more than anything.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 34 years, Gala Miller of Lancaster; son, Rusty Miller of Lancaster; parents, Art and Shirley Miller of Somerset; brother, Randy (Lori) Miller of Youngstown; sister, Sherry (Richard) Sims of Somerset; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved feline companions.

CARING CREMATION has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. The family would like donations made in Russs name to the Lancaster Campground Auditorium Fund 2151 W fair Ave Lancaster, OH 43130.
