Roy Lee Taylor, Jr

Roy Lee Taylor, Jr., 71, of Baltimore, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Roy served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for many years as an upholsterer. Roy also enjoyed woodworking, basketball, and poker up until he was no longer able to because of his illness.

Roy is survived by his wife, Jeanne Taylor; daughters, Lana (Nathan Donovan) Boucher of Baltimore and Tammy (Andrew) Blessing of Baltimore; grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Rosa Beyer, Brook Taylor, Lacey Blessing, and Andrea “Gertrude” Blessing; sisters, Rhonda Williams of Lancaster and Rita Seaman of New York; brother, Danny Taylor of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa and Charles Ervin and Roy Lee Taylor, Sr.; brother, Donald Taylor; and brother-in-law, William Williams.

Funeral service for Roy will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday, March 5, 2015, at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Caring Cremation will follow.

Donations may be made in memory of Roy to the American Cancer Society or to the James Cancer Hospital.
