Rose A. (Hawse) Howard, age 78 of Lancaster, formerly of Columbus, died at her residence on May 1st, 2017. She was born on Sept. 14th, 1938 to the late Ralph and Samantha Crumley Hawse. Rose was quite active in the Girl Scouts of America organization starting as a troop leader and eventually becoming a board member.
Rose and her late husband Walt (Jack) were the local realtor team “The Dream Makers”. She was a realtor for 44 plus years and worked for HER and currently was with Schneider Keaton and Company in Rey’s, OH. During Rose’s real estate career she held designations of CRS, GRI, FIS, and CAHR. She also was in numerous organization and served on many committees during her career. Rose was an amazing person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Bryiant; son, Rusty A. Howard; grandchildren, Hollie (Jesse Oswalt) Motz, Sabrina Howard, and Kristen Howard; sister, Betty Gerren-Hummell; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter “Jack” Howard; parents; brothers Robert Hawse and Ralph Hawse Jr.
Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service to celebrate Rose’s life will take place on Friday May 5th, 2017 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130 at 4PM, officiated by Chaplain Karl Hartmann. Family and friends may call on the family from 2 PM until the time of service on Friday, at the funeral home.
