Rosalie Humphrey, age 82, of Newark went to go be with her Lord on March 30th, 2021. She was born to the late Dwight and Virginia (Evick) Kim on June 20th, 1938 in Huntington WV. She was a devout member of the Spring Hills Baptist Church in Newark. There she would join the Sisters In Spirit group, or S.I.S. for short. She was a great cook and was known for making amazing food, even jellies and jams. She was an avid seamstress and was fond of making teddy bears for her friends and family. Though she was soft spoken and cared immensely for those around her, she was always very tough yet fair. Rosalie's biggest passion in life was her family. She spent as much time as she could with her grandbabies. Rosalie will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
Rosalie is survived by her sons, Lance (Shannon) Humphrey and Lon (Cassie) Humphrey; grandchildren, Amber, Preston, Piper, Poet and Patience Humphrey; siblings, Lillian (Pete) Sharp, Marion (Florence) Kim; good friend, Patty Hammond; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Humphrey; daughter, Alisa Humphrey; and parents.
