Rosa Reef

Rosa G. Reef, age 90, of Lancaster, died November 11th, 2013, at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center. She was born to Lee and Lettie L. Fox Azbell on December 22, 1922 in Laurel Township, Hocking County, OH. She was the seventh of eleven children. She was united in marriage on May 26, 1956 to Russell R. Reef, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1984.
She is survived by her sister–in-law, Betty Azbell of Chillicothe; special niece, Linda and James Shaw of Laurelville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters in law; Kenneth (Faye), Donald (Alice), Melvin (Nina), Wayne (Annabelle), Clyde (Blanch), Howard, and Lester Azbell; sisters and brother-in-laws; Lerma (Don) Smith, Leota (Lloyd) McCabe, and Betty (Orval) Hampshire.
As per Rosa’s request, a simple graveside service will take place at St. Michaels Cemetery in Baltimore, OH on Thursday at 2:30PM, officiated by Pastor William Lavely. Family and friends may call from 1 until 2PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME prior to the service on Thursday. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com.
