Ronald C. Stoughton, age 70, of Lancaster, died on March 26th, 2016 at the Pickering House. He was born to the late Frank and Valentina Ramirz-Y-Plancia Stoughton on May 11th, 1945. Ron was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a trial lawyer for 38 years, a member of the Masons, was currently on The Board of The Performing Arts and Conference Center of Fairfield County and Friends of the Parks. Ron will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and colleagues.
Ron is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stoughton; son, Ronald (Michelle) Charles Stoughton, Jr. of New Albany; grandchildren, Charlie and Samantha Stoughton; step sons, M. Hunter and Peter H. Brown; brother, Carlton P. Stoughton of Sarasota, FL; several nieces and nephews; close relative, Audrey Spencer; and four legged office companion, "Barrister".
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday April 5th at 10:30AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, officiated by Rev. G William Pursley. Burial of the urn will follow at Forest Rose Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the FRANK E SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 2PM until 4PM and 6 until 8 PM.
