Ronald H. Koker, 69, of Marysville, and formally of Baltimore, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Ron was a 1967 graduate of Liberty Union High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran and a 2 bronze star and Purple Heart recipient. Ron was also a member of the VFW, Masonic Lodges including Shriners, and an active member of the Brutal Brothers for many years.

Ron is survived by his son, Ben Koker; daughter, Megan (Jay) Smith; precious granddaughter, Cheyenne; sisters, Roberta Barnhard of New Albany, and Joyce (Carlin) Bartschi of Arizona; nieces; nephews; and cousins including “special cousin” Connie and George Gerken.

He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Henry and Betty Koker; brother-in-law, Ronald Barnhard; and “special aunt and uncle”, Theresa and Kenneth Foltz.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, OH, 43105, officiated by Reverend Melodie Rezac. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with military rites performed by the Baltimore Burial Detail. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of service Friday.
