Ronald Lee Barnes 76 of Lancaster, Ohio died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was a financial advisor for Meyers Jewelers. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and Lancaster Masonic Lodge. He was a US Marine Corp. veteran.
Ronald is survived by his sons, Jeff Barnes of Lancaster, Ohio and Greg Barnes of Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Barnes, Jason Barnes, Katie Barnes (daughter of Sarah Barnes), and Jessica Barnes (daughter of Sarah Barnes); great-grandchildren, Grace Barnes and Conner Joseph Barnes; brother, Lowell Barnes of Millersport, Ohio; sisters, Nonie Henwood of Lancaster, Ohio, Carole (Elton) Monosmith of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Connie Smith of Pickerington, Ohio, Rita Beach of Pataskala, Ohio, Vicki (Rich) Pinstock of Millersburg, Ohio, and Pam Kovalchik of Akron, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen M. Barnes, grandson, Joshua Barnes, daughter-in-law, Brenda Barnes, parents, Vernon and Mildred Barnes, sister, Betty Thompson, infant sister, Brenda Ruth Barnes.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Kepner officiating. Burial to follow in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATSER, OHIO 43130.
