Roger Withem 70 of Lancaster, Ohio former resident of Bremen, Ohio died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He worked for Stuart Burial Vault Co., Bremco Co, and later Sheridan Funeral Home. He was a member of Bremen Rushcreek Fire Department for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, loved country music, fishing, cooking, and Ohio State Football.
Roger is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Rose Withem; daughters, Penny (Michael) Rose of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Pam (Carl) Cordle of Junction City, Ohio, Melissa (Keith) Pickens of Baltimore, Ohio, and Mary (Tony) Pyett of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Richard (Kimberly) Campbell, Britainy (Josh) Parish, Eddie White, Tyler Shahan, Trevor Shahan, Hunter Cordle, Carli Cordle, Emma Pyett, Anthony Pyett, Brandon Pickens, Haley Pickens, Bobby Pickens and Olivia Pickens; great grandchildren, Jadelynn Parish, Kyli and Claira White ; brother, Michael (Phyllis) Withem of Amanda, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Gerald) Withem of Texas and Joan (David) Phillips of Bellville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews, and cousins; special friends, Ron and Cheryl Maurer of Lancaster, Ohio, Richard Campbell and Lori Smith; and his faithful companion, Ginger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gladys Withem and brother, Gerald Leroy Withem.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Jerry Eaton officiating. Caring Cremation to follow. Friends may visit Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior the service on Saturday. Memorial gifts may be given to the Charity of Donors choice.
